Google Webmasters Tool

This tool is a very helpful generally if you want to get traffic from google search engine.Google webmaster tools was developed by google so that you can place your website in the google search engine.  

 

Using google webmaster tools is not at all a difficult task. First of all you need to have a gmail account of your own, if you dont have it you can create it that's pretty easy. After you have created a google account all you need to do is to synchronize your gmail account with the google webmasters tool. You can dot that by going to google.com/webmasters/tools or you can simply type google webmasters in the google search.
     

After you go to the webmasters tools it will  tell you link it with your gmail account all u need to do is sign in with your gmail account & password,that's it now you are ready to use google webmasters tools that was pretty easy isn't it. In the home tab you will see a red button which says add a site.You click on that button add the url of your website which you want to appear on the google search results.

 

Now google will ask you to verify your website this is done just to ensure that you have are the owner of this site & you have access to the control panel of your website.Google verification is simple they will ask you to copy some html file to your public_html folder in your control panel or it might ask you to place some code in head section of your index page.
      

 After you are done with all these things you click on the verify button below if everything is done properly google will add your site to the google sandbox. Google sandbox is where google places newly discovered sites. After some hours or after a day your site will get indexed by the google. You can check this by entering Site:yourdomain.com in the google search if it is indexed by google it will display your site in the google search results.

 

Wait you are not done yet you have some other important task to perfom when you visit the dashboard it says submit a sitemap.You have to submit a sitemap to the google,for more information on sitemap you can read my sitemap post.
     

 After that you go the Health tab of the google webmasters tools. In that click on fetch as google. This option allows you to fetch you to index other pages of your website in google. There is a count of 500 which means that you can fetch upto 500 pages of your website per week.

Now you are done, now you can see the daily traffic all the other things which are neccessary to improve your traffic in the google webmasters tools.
